Consulting Architect – Digital Workspaces & Cloud

This position can be expected to require up to 10-20% annual travel with the majority of time being remote. Applicants may reside anywhere in Canada. Employees in vicinity of the Greater Toronto Area are encouraged to visit the office periodically to interface with colleagues.

Job Responsibilities:

· Provide consulting services for digital workspaces (Citrix, VMware, Microsoft, Workspot, Cloud PC) and NetScaler networking platforms (nice to have)

· Provide consulting services for public cloud infrastructures

· Enhance professional services practice through development of new methodologies, leading practices

· Design and engineer solutions tailored to customer needs, following standardized documentation and consulting methodology

· Ascertain customer pain points and establish solutions based on technologies

· Conduct infrastructure assessments (health checks), and issue resolution activities on customer platforms

· Mentor Senior and Staff Consultants

· Collaborate with multiple clients and vendors in support of project initiatives

· Support customer Citrix infrastructures as necessary

· Production of various documentation of high caliber including but not limited to architectural designs, assessment results, end-state documentation, functional testing, working procedures

· Provide technical direction to resolve complex issues which may extend beyond the realm of your skillset

· Provide advisory services to clients

· Lead consulting engagements and overseeing and coordinating work of other team members

· Co-author statements of work and proposals for services

· Support the sales process, and influence the sales of technology solutions and consulting services to customers

· Contribute to the professional IT community (blogs, articles, seminars, support forums, YouTube videos) to enhance an individual’s professional brand and company’s brand

· Create written and recorded IT training material

· Deliver presentations to client executives, translate business needs into technical requirements

· Attend industry conferences and educational opportunities to both learn, and establish our company presence

· Develop project plans and detailed project workstream documents to support engagements, including but not limited to pre-requisites, build checklists, RACI and swim lane charts

Must-Have Technical Skills:

· Industry certifications from Citrix, Microsoft, VMware related to skills (Citrix DaaS, XenApp and XenDesktop, AVD, WVD, Windows 365, Microsoft 365, VMware Horizon View, VMware Workspace One, Cloud PCs)

· Experience and understanding of digital workspaces, digital strategy, and digital transformation

· VMware vSphere experience

· Citrix Cloud \ DaaS

· Microsoft Azure and AWS infrastructure skills and certifications

· Experience writing statements of work, quotes, RFPs

· Citrix App Layering

· Microsoft App-V \ MSIX

· Citrix Provisioning Services

· Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM)

Nice to Have Technical Skills or Qualifications:

· Computer Science degree (2 year+) from an accredited College or University (ideal)

· Experience with Citrix Analytics (Performance and Security)

· Experience or certification in security consulting

· Reliability or Secret clearance (or eligibility based on residency/citizenship)

Essential Non-Technical Skills:

· Strong organizational and management skills

· Excellent task management (time can’t be managed, tasks can), this is supercritical

· Ability to present oneself in a clean and professional image, confident manner, willingness to be assertive, and ability to speak and present in public settings, and control conversations

· Excellent documentation skills

· Critical thinking

· Persuasive reasoning and active listening skills

· Track record of good leadership skills, ability to effectively manage other resources on projects

· Adaptable and innovative approach to planning and operations

· Ability to prioritize and multitask with considerable attention to detail

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and under pressure

· Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook

· Bilingual in English and French
