Ferroque Systems Inc. is a Technology Services consulting firm located in Toronto, having been in business for over 10 years. Ferroque’s core business has been consulting in the datacentre virtualization, corporate IT strategy, migration and digital workspaces landscapes, specializing in Citrix and VMware technologies with particular focus on end-user computing. Ferroque is headed by one of North America’s leading Citrix authorities, and is undergoing a services expansion in 2018 to meet demand. Beyond expanding the bandwidth of our consulting services, Ferroque is constructing a world-class managed services practice focused on VDI platforms.

We are seeking talented, solutions-oriented, highly motivated, energetic IT analysts \ support specialists who are looking to take their career to the next level, building upon their experience in customer service, and Windows desktop and server support. Experience supporting Citrix and VMware VDI, hypervisor, and app delivery platforms will be a significant bonus, as well as any background in the managed IT services and consulting services fields. The ideal candidate will have a good grasp on enterprise IT support, working exposure to VDI, a strong willingness to learn and resolve issues.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to managed services clients
  • Handle support tickets
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain customer and internal computing platforms including Windows, Citrix, VMware (Server, Hypervisor, VDI, Hosted Apps)
  • Provide consulting services to customers, willingness to travel 20-30% for consulting engagements
  • Assist the team in building out technology practices, building operational frameworks, best practices

Core Skills

  • A strong desire to learn, innovate, and provide value to others.
  • 1-3 years experience in a similar role such as L2-3 Service Desk, Technical \ Analyst, Systems Administrator
  • Strong problem solving, customer service, organizational, and planning skills
  • Familiar with ticketing systems and IT service management
  • In-depth knowledge and troubleshooting experience of Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems
  • Ability to work in both Mac and PC operating environments
  • Linux experience is a plus
  • Practical understanding of computer networking and protocols, ability to perform basic network troubleshooting
  • Office 365 migration experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workstation management, patch management, monitoring. Experience in a range of systems monitoring tools
  • Experience administering Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and VMware View environments
  • Experience troubleshooting VDI environment issues such as client connectivity, printing, performance, etc.
  • Experience working in a managed IT services organization
  • Able to work independently, while also taking direction well from others

Desired Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in a computer field
  • Microsoft certifications including MCSE, MCSA, MCTS are a plus
  • VMware certifications such as VCA, VCP, VCAP are a plus
  • Citrix certifications such as CCA. CCP are a plus
  • CompTIA certifications such as A+, Network+ are a plus
